Our famous Easter Special Hot Cross Bun are now available as a bake at home product. Order the frozen buns then bake at home for fresh buns on Easter morning.

Instructions for proofing/baking the hot cross buns:
Defrost the buns overnight in an airtight container in the fridge.
In the morning, place the buns on a baking tray about 1cm apart. Cover, then leave in warm place for 1.5-2 hours to double in size.
Preheat your oven to 210C.
To make a cross mix (optional), mix together enough water and plain flour to make a stiff paste, similar to a pancake batter. Pour into a ziplock bag, then cut the corner off. Pipe crosses onto the top of the buns.
Bake in the oven for approximately 17minutes or until golden brown.
Heat 150g water and 150g caster sugar in a saucepan, then brush over the top of the buns as soon as they come out of the oven (optional).
